Thanks for the great meeting tonight ( MCI). I was so happy I missed my karate class and got to hear your great seminar on barbless hooks. You brought up many good " points" and really opened my eyes to a way of fishing that is much better for fish.
Also nice to meet board member crusty at the meeting

Amazing how many good points on such a topic as barbless hooks can come out of a group discussion
Great presentation Ken.

Hey Guys
Glad you liked the presentation. Seriously it really generated a lot of good discussion.
Too easy to make corny jokes about this pointed subject...
Hey Joco We miss you. I want to hear about how many Muskies you caught with the 24" Rapala you had at one of the meetings.
The next one will be March 14th and it will be another good meeting.
GLoomis Rod representative Paul Shibata will be presenting...
Later
Ken

I'd like to thank all who welcomed me. I will have to get the file out soon!
I love seeing the different baits everyone likes to "scratch up".
I will show up earlier next time, so I have time to grab a drink, and money for that prize table. Don't know if I'll be able to make every meeting in the summer, as I get very busy. See you next month.

I have to admit I spoke briefly twice with Ken about barbless hooks. I even went and made a couple of mine barbless last summer but failed to pay attention when I was fishing if I had actual landed a fish with a barbless hook or not.
I am very intrigued (sp?) and will definitly give it greater attention this coming season.
I hate to hurt a fish and this is one way I can minimize the stress on a fish.
We talked at the MCI meeting about filling out or logs with the footnote of using barbless hooks and I think this is a great idea.
P.S. Matt, look out for that strange guy everyone described as the winner of the silent auction to go musky fishing with you, hopefully he'll have barbless hooks when he swings back that big rod and hooks you on the follow thru

I happen to know who won and I'll tell you up front Matt, very strange fellow.
I was pleasantly surprised to see you at the derby, knowing you would at best drop by for a brief moment. I'm glad, for the breif time I was there, we managed to pass salutations.
Thanks again for the generous donation of the musky outing. Now....that doesn't mean your off the hook for us heading out, (health allowing).
*Out of season bass fishermen, look out, took all I had to stop Matt from givin' the last ones a solid browbeating! *

Mr J no need to feel bad you have to hook a fish before you can hurt it. The only things hurt on the water are your feelings

Not very nice but thumbs up on the zinger, can't say I'd have been able to resist either.

Hmmm, I'll have to save some of these high powered meds then. An outing like that, without sedation, may just wipe out what little sanity I have left.

J you will have a blast with Matt and catch some fish. Hopefully you can break the 40" mark and then go form there. You will have loads of laughs too
