Masson Angers - Clement Bay Fishing?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Masson Angers - Clement Bay Fishing?

Post by likestofish »

We rented a hut this weekend at the marina at Clement bay (right across the river from Cumberland). Has anyone had any success there?

What should I expect to catch and what should I be using to have the best chance of good fishing?

Thanks a bunch!

Clement bay at Masson Angers

Overall the day went off pretty good. There are very many huts available for renting. They range from $33 to $44 per day depending on size. The holes and equipment are $2 per hole. I got a nice pike and a couple of perch. People around us got some pike as well. They say there are some walleye in the area, but we did not see any around us.

I guess this place is pretty good for families, but for us it was a disappointment. There were LOT of snowmobiles and atvs that were flying by constantly throughout the day (there are probably 100 huts on the lake) that ruined the day. It felt like we were at a Nascar racetrack! It seemed like sledding behind snowmobile was the preferred sport.

If i would go back again, I would ask for the most secluded, corner-most cabin available. The price was good and getting a pike was great. If you have your own more secluded spots i would not bother going there...
