Hey Raven,

Welcome to Fish-Hawk.Net. For Crotch Lake you may want to check out Tumblehome Lodge. I'm not 100% of where they ice fish on the Crotch, however I do know that there have been fish caught not very far from the Lodge itself.

Crotch Lake was one of the first places I fished in Ontario. Check out the Fish-Hawk Show we did on it. Was pretty green at fishing Ontario waters....now I'm better (I think) and would like to give it whirl again.

If you do go to Tumblehome, try to speak to Ward, the owner of the lodge. He is a very nice and helpful person and as long as you respect his property he will most likely allow you to acess the lake from his property. There is also another acess road further up and the road takes you down to another public launch. It is quite a hike out to where he recommends but this particular lake has tonnes of bays including the one with the public launch.. I fish this lake alot in softwater season and it is a beautiful place to go. I do know that Ward and his brother Jeff ice fish out on the other side of Colonel Island. It is a long way out from the lodge so if you can get a sled it would be helpful to ya. Hope this helps.
