1980 evinrudes: How do you like them?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

1980 evinrudes: How do you like them?

Post by OBD »

Hi all

Planning on buying a small 9.9 evinrude in the 1980's, its been tuned up, winterized and really well maintained by the shop. Anyone have bad/good experiences with them?

Thanks in advance,

Nodie

Nodie, this sounds like it could be a good deal and if it is, i would proceed. Growing up in the 70's -80's those engines were the best hands down(or atleast i thought they were ) You still see lotsa them around so that may tell ya something

Let us know if your gonna be a proud papa!
