I was just sent these photos from a friend of mine which blew my mind. Check this out.
A 36 inch Pike use as bait for an even BIGGER Pike. Looks almost pre-historic don't ya think?
Now that's a trophy.

I just received that email the other day as well Bobber..
I have seen the pic with the huge Pike before, however this is the first time I have seen the one of the "bait"..
DO NOT quote me, but the story may have been mixed up along the way...lol.
There is in fact a site somewhere that tells the truth (or as close as possible) to some of these "fishing stories" that circulate on the net.. I will see if I can dig up any more info on that fish...

It's possible for sure, who knows, but in any case, it doesn't look to me that the photos have been doctored or anything, and they are pretty cool pics.

Again, that's quite possible. Put the link up when you get home and we'll check it out. He told two friends, she told two friends, and so on and so on and so on. Still nice pics though, and great looking fish.

Just wanted to clarify....... and as Steve has confirmed.. two unrelated pics that somehow got turned into a "fishing story" on the net...

WoW!!!!! What a good cut and paste job on this pic. I did see a fishing show couple weeks ago that almost every time the host had a small pickerel on the line it was attacked by a large pike . This happened 7 times in a row.

First I would like to say It doesn't matter where it was a caught , cause it is H U G E
But I think I saw the same pike but it was a guy in an ice shack and it said that he had caught it in northern Sask. or Manitoba.

It's all BS.

But still likely one of the fattest pike seen online.
First pic, who knows. That does like a minnow that caught the first pike, that made the second pike hit it.
The other dude... well, his mug was plastered in the winter issue of Esox along with other big catches, and, other fisherman as well with other big catches......... and it was all on fishing big pike in Holland.
Man, that guy has caught that same pike in Rainy and LOTW. That's one pike that gets around.

Yeah, confirmed. I was told by another friend of mine that they saw the same pictures intermixed with different stories and sometimes different pics as well. In any case the Pike seems to be a real European pike, which is still huge no matter what you say. I don't think it's a cut and paste, but I'm sure there are a lot of others out there who could do a much better job than I could at it.
Here is a doctored photo my brother did. Not bad, but you can still notice it has been "tampered" with. This is actually me and the fish is by no means that big. I used to have this picture of me as my desktop wallpaper, and came home one day to find this one had replaced it.

Oh the brotherly love.
