they do taste great. 
dont cast them on my way..you might get a big fish....

hey mabe there good to fish...try them.
i am sher you can get something on those,,saw some plastic worst then that catching fish....might worth to try.

Last summer i ran out of real worms, had some gummies so i said to myself,self we could make this work. So there i was putting on a gummy worm and to my surprise there it was the biggest bass ever. Now I was making the best out of a bad day, so 3 casts later and by george the bass took my line and headed for the deep. Needless to say the gummy worked, so don't give up, just keep trying

lol...reminds me of a story...buddy of mine and myself were talking about walleye fishing in lake erie...we were talking about trolling hotlips....another guy asked us if we were talking about the gummy lips..you know the big red ones...lol...started laughing our arses off..just had this visual with these candy hotlips in the water just doing big circles...lol

I've tried 'em. When we had the cottage on Round Lake I used 'em a couple of times. Got a decent smallie once, but the rockies loved 'em!

Potential problems:
Eating all the bait
Those suckers melt just like real worms on a hot day
My wife will be able to bait her own hooks, she already out fishes me

Used gummy bears for steelhead in tribs with moderate success.
But gummy worms could be fun especially icefishing, would much rather warm a few gummies in my mouth v.s. the real deal. :hs

Never tried it myself... can't say I hadn't thought about it though.
How would you rig them anyway? Texas? Carolina? or Wacky?
Can't see why they wouldn't work?!?! I've heard of stranger things. Like my buddy who caught a monster pike with a Smartie.

If I read this over a year ago, I'd have said NO WAY.
But I do recall several people participating in a thread last year sharing their experiences using all different kinds of candy for bait. I think, in particular, for trout. (Float, help me out here if you're reading this thread...I remember you mentioning some kind of sweet treat as bait.)
I wouldn't think gummy worms would have all that much action, but maybe once the sugar started to break down a bit, they'd get more flexible. Who knows? Some of the crappier products out there have about as much action as a stick of wood anyway.
Plus side? If the fish don't like them, you could always eat them.

well I am definitely going to try this. Would definitely save some $$.
My wife used to catch catfish off the dock with hot dogs when she was a kid (ottawa river). Kids like hot dogs too, as well as gummy worms. Coincidence? Maybe alphaghetti, pizza, pogos work. Carrots won't, niether will broccoli. Maybe roast beef if it's tender enough to chew without tiring out the jaw. Chocolate? yup. Pancakes? yup. Butterscotch pudding? Not so well.
