well, if your looking at that area, i'd go with lower buckhorn.
a lot more like a 'northern lake' and a lot less like a bog.
however, the northern sections of Pigeon lake have some nice area's.

The answer is Buckhorn, our last two summers have been there.
We camp at Woodland campgrounds with excellent boat docking and water sites available. Well worth the trek.

is woodlands on the upper or lower sections of buckhorn?
the upper is nice as well, as it has access to chemong and pigeon, but ya need a big boat with lots of horsies to do that travelling.
gotta love Buck!

That would be upper... But the trip to Bobcayjun makes the boat rides worth it... unlimited water, boat up restaurant, descent fishing
Don't let all that water scare you, the smallest of depth variation is whats key.
warning- every year there is a bass tourney, opening weekend of muskie I would try to book another weekend
Is the lower, below the dam in buckhorn?

Rice has some good places too. I've stayed at Golden Beasch Resort before and it was nice. They have cottages, camping and I believe a larger Hotel like building too.

Thanks for the help.
Now I am a bit more confused on which lake to fish. But I am thinking Buckhorn. All I need now is to make a decision on a place to stay.
Thanks again,

Going back to Upper Buckhorn this year, we rent a cottage but you are probably too late for that. The restaurant at Bobcaygeon is good but a little pricey for kids, the one at the top of Upper B by the lock is great. You could try scottsman ponit, I think there is a resort there.
