My list:
1. rapala long-casting minnow - picked this one up a few days back, and gave it a few casts out infront the house. it really does fly 'a mile'. if the action is half as good as that of the origional floater, i'll be tres happy.

2. buzz frogs - saw some good pike caught on these last season.

3. storm sub wart

4. chatter bait - many people seem to swear by these, so why not...

5. home-made carp boilies

6. plastic hellgramite imitations

7. yo-zuri crystal minnow F9

8. many different 2'' crappy tubes

9. weed demon

10. 10'' grandma

I am waiting to use topwater and shallow crank/jerk baits. I have been a long time plastics fisherman. I promised myself that I would try hard baits this year to open my horizons. I hate spinnerbats but I will try those more often, too.

Specifically:

1. Rapala X-rap suspending jerk

2. Muskie inline spinners (various)

3. Good 'ol massive muskie jitterbug


I will be trying to use huge lures and worms this season.

Got a couple of new custom spinner baits for musky and pike that are screamin' at me to get wet.
I picked up a Daiwa Dead or Alive that looks too sweet and should be great for the pike opening.
All the new bass stuff is out of sight and will not see the light of day until mid June

My new line of Mr.J. Specials.

I tossed them out a couple of times last year but they were unfinished I was just checking to see how they ran in the water.

This year they'll be finished.

These are very unique and are not a copy of other lures.

Be very interested to hear your reviews on this. I still have trouble justifying spending as much on one lure as I spent on my original rod and reel. But this one looks very interesting and if people are having good results with it I might take the plunge.

I came across a Shark Attack 'Suzy sucker' the thing looks wild, I can't wait to get it wet!

RoadRunner spinner jig heads with 2" twister tails and also going to try some 2" solid tube with the frilly tails. Hope to draw in some big crappie in a few weeks on this.

Never tried a flash with my jigs on the ultra light for panfish. Going to see if it does draw in fish from a distance.

ANYTHING!!! lol im just itchin to get out but the real fun lures come out for bass opener till then its vertical jigs for me

Looking foward to trying out some of the beaver style baits. Specifically, Reaction Innovations Smallie Beaver on a lite jighead or weighted hook. The way it moves and glides in the bathtub looks pretty promising for the small-jaws:D.

At the end of last season, was fishing cranks my fair share of the time. Looking to try some of the the cranks I altered with new hooks and suspend strips to hopefully make the crank suspend. Anything to try and make an off the rack bait, "different".

Other than that, nothing really, just want to pick my boat up from storage already! Almost time !

PS: I'm not exactly busting to try any new lures, just to get out in the boat! But I am annoyed that I don't seem to have luck with swimbaits as they're supposed to be very good. I've got a few new packs in different colors and sizes and suppose I will just keep on trying these.

(How do you guys fish swimbaits? Any special knack or presentation?)
