I'm looking at going to Brule lake near Ompah on the May long weekend. Pretty hard to find any info on this lake. The only info that I can find is that there are Small Mouth Bass and Lake Trout, so I guess that I'll target Lakers only. Are there no Pike and Walleye in this lake (which would actually be in season for Div 29)? How deep is this lake? I haven't found anything topology wise for this lake.
Thanks for any info you guys can provide.

I will see what I can come up with on this lake...It is near my cottage and I know my father has fished it many times...Near Brule lake or Brule lake I know there is an all year laker lake. Might be Brule.

Brule was never an all year laker lake and is now closed during the winter to preserve its stocks since it is a naturally producing lake. It was a plentiful lake at one time but now fishing is getting tougher and tougher. It has only Lake Trout and Smallmouth Bass which are also tough to find and catch due to fishing pressure. Brule is a clear deep lake with depths up to 180 ft or more. Which camp are you heading to ?

Yeah, I think maybe Lucky Lake up the Sand Plevna Road is open all year now if I'm not mistaken.

Give Lorne Spotswood at call at 1-800-941-0006. He has a bathymetric (depth contour) map for Lake Brule that he can send you tomorrow if you'd like. Lorne runs Fishing Maps Plus and he can provide bathymetric maps for many lakes in Ontario, Quebec and other provinces/territories. His web site is
http://www.fishingmapsplus.com/index.html If you go to his web site, check under maps and you'll find Lake Brule listed as Wensley (Brule) Lake in Frontenac County. Check it out.
