Fall River - anyone with any knowledge of it...

Afternoon folks,

I typically lurk in the background, as you have all provided me with a bit of a vicarious thrill. Too many years of too much work and not nearly enough time to fish. I am in the process of fixing that problem.

One part of that solution is I am looking at buying a piece of waterfront property. There is a piece for sale on the Fall River. I remember driving over the river headin' towards Silver and Sharbot Lake, but otherwise I have never paid any attention to it.

Here is my question, has anyone spent any time on the river? what kind of fish are found within it? what is late summer flow like? is the river swimmable (something the girlfriend and my mom love)?

Any help would be appreciated.

I used to fish it everyday when younger,back 16 years ago it was just smallies,pike,and alot of chub. River is swimmable but watch out for dog days of summer,impentago is common in open wounds. Get pretty low in summer also,sometimes even drying up near Maberly.
