Hello from Sunny Florida

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Hello from Sunny Florida

Post by Bobber »

Hello all,

Just a quick hello from sunny Florida. I trust everyone is ramping up for a great Crappie season coming soon. Got out fishing on Thursday with my dad and brother. We didn't actually go to Lake Toho as planned, since the bite was off there and Okechobee has no water, so our guide took us to the Butler Chain of Lakes. About 12 lakes all joined together. The scenery was fantastic, saw a gator swimming about, and caught some fish......oh yeah....caught some fish.

Story to come upon my return but I'll leave you with this.....you have got to plan a trip to Florida for some Trophy Bass. 8)

Cheers,

I am looking forward to hearing about the Florida BASS. I was wondering if the upcoming hockey playoffs are getting any press down there in the land of Trophy Bass and speedy boats?

Hey Bobber...
ya a couple of years ago i went down to fish Okeechobee.
It was cool, we caught a 8 lb Largemouth, and man I swear that 90% of all fisherman on that lake were french canadians fishing for crappie!!
And Gar pike after Gar pike. Hey, you caught a Japanese Mudfish yet?
Thoses things are scary (and invasive). Caught one of those.
Have to say tho, that for a Canadian Sheild raised boy, I found the scenery on the lakes a little drab.

Did I read that right?
Did Bobber just wave hello from his poolside chair,
decked out in Hawaian shirt,
sipping a drink with a miniature umbrella in it,
while pretending to be sincere,
with his 70's/80's style mirror sunglasses,
waving Manuel the waiter, fully clothed with suit and tie away,
then calling him back and telling him, he'd like ONE peice of ice for his warming beverage,
also asking for another cool umbrella and calling him Manny in the process,
completely ignoring the fact his name is Manuel and hates being called Manny,
while the waiter nervously corrects him about his name for the 15th time,
while Bobber responds, I don't pay you to think Paco and sparks a Havana,
while he lowers his glasses a mere inch and softly says...Manny, do you really want to give me another footrub?
while we know he's actually watching the smoking blonde in the thong walk by and we look out the window seeing snowflakes?

:x I thought so...I'd be doing the same. He doesn't need to smile so damn much about it though!

Have a great time man!
