Back Channel of the Rideau

Does anyone ever catch any Carppie or Perch in the back channel of the rideau in Manotick?

I haven't fished there in years but grew up on the north end of the island and fished there a lot as a kid. I remember big musky, pike and walleye being pulled out of there.

definitely got some crappy there last year. tons of rock bass and a few small eyes as well.

I've only caught them in and around the Mill. I'd personally target the creeks first, then target the Mill when the spring run-off eases up.
