I have a bass boat and want to fish the Constance/Buckam's Bay area tomorrow. Is the launch at Buckam's still OK for a 18' boat n(depth etc..)? Are there any other more suitable launches?

Thanks

Steve

I fished that launch in Constance bay last summer, its pretty rough to say the least, water is about 3 ft at the end of the dock.

Launched Ransome's 20' Princecraft there last weekend, water is low on that stretch of the Ottawa but launch is fine.

The water should still be deep enough for you to launch. I launch mine there at all times of the year and it does get really low in the summer. Last time

The water should still be deep enough for you to launch. I launch mine there at all times of the year and it does get really low in the summer. Last time I was there the water was still over the concrete. If your boat doesnt draft alot you should be fine. I would be more concerned about the launch vehicle. The concrete has broken away from the launch and it is loose sand, gravel and mud so if you have to back in far it is good if its a front wheel drive or 4x4. I am talking from experience when I had my first boat about 7 years ago I had a rear wheel drive and backed in and got stuck due to the missing concrete. It is a good place to go though lots of good fishing there, in fact I will be going there on Sunday. Good luck.
