this just makes me want to stop fishing 2

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I guess these pics taken today negate the migrating bird pop theory and the spring nutrient turnover theory that others postulated on the pics on the previous thread.

That is just ^&%^^$ Gross. You don't even have to be J C to walk on that water. Not that I would try to.

Reminds me of extra chunky pea soup...but I wouldn't want to sample that "soup" (or anything that swam in it).

Looks good to me, whatever it is  You're going to need to be tied to a tree with a long rope and of course some waders and obviously brighter lures! hahahaha!!! I'd recommend BIG GAME gear as well. I recall a cartoon wher they were fishing in a fabled tar pit and......oh nevermind

I wouldn't even stick my arm in to get a water sample. That's beyond gross. If it was the last lake in the world, I'd fish there. Thankfully, for now, we have alternatives.

Ummmmmm, so does this lake actually.... smell like it looks? Granted, I've seen similar stuff on the Ottawa River in the spring but never of such a bright green color! That stuff looks radioactive!

I increased the contrast on the first pic just so you could make it out better. On the second pic I tried that but it interfered with how it looked. That is the true water colour. For those of you who live in SW Ontario it has that Lake Erie smell of the 70's minus the rotting fish smell.

That's unreal. I don't even want to know where that is!
