Smallmouth Bait/Lure

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Smallmouth Bait/Lure

Post by MTF »

I am going to a remote lake up in Quebec for the weeked...It is a large lake with lots of rocky areas and very clear water....If you could only bring one bait/lure what would it be? (for smallmouths) I have my favorites but always like to try new things so please any suggestions on what you like would be great. Hope everyone has an awesome Canada Day weekend!!!

Tubes. I'd go a step further and try to figure out what colour the crawfish are, and match the hatch.

I use Hulla Poppers http://www.lurenet.com/catalog.aspx?catid=HulaPopper

They work great and so fun to see bass jump to bite on these. I caught a 4lbs Small mouth with this last time.
