little kayak outhing report.

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Joco,

Looks like you boys are getting good use from those shallow draft personal flotation devices. I had some friends that started this trend in Maryland before moving here in the mid 90s. They had a great time with them and then got older and richer and upgraded to comfortable power boats.

I like the Iceman's Skull and Crossbones flag. Pretty cool Mark!

Nice reports Joco...I've read all of them lately and enjoy them thoroughly you trend-setter you! Crazy weather for sure the last two days!

tight lines boys,

Jackel, If you have to replace your camera check out the kayaker's choice, the pentax w20 or w30. They are submersible plus they fit into the pocket of a PFD.

Now I'm convinced yo were able to land your 4lb'er only becasue there was no camera. I lost a nice one when Joco said that fateful phrase, "hold it I want to get a picture" That phrase cost me a Muskie last week and a nice Bass this week. Just to test my theory I tried it out of yakFisheryesterday; Sure enough he lost a nice Bass. So Joco, next time, as your reeling in your monster just remember "hold it" cause I want to get that picture  .

I had a good time out there for sure, Met a couple more Hawk-Talkers, It is a great way to see and hear nature, I got into 2 pikes ,one of them wasn't even big enough to be called a hammerhead it was just a screwdriver head, caught MY PB smallie, It was about 2.5lbs. and another smallie after that. Got lots of perch follows tough but no takers.

It was nice of gwright lending me one of his Yak so I could try it out. I forgot my camera also but I would've probably filled my card when we first got on the lake cause if there was a PostCard pictures factory I think they could've had a couple of good ones.

Hey guys,

This was my first chance to get on the computer since Friday. Just wanted to say it was great to meet you all and get out, an excellent bunch of guys for sure! It was so cool when we were leaving the launch, to look around and see a fleet of kayak fishermen! :D

I also forgot my camera, will have to bring it next time. I had also left my paddle in the trunk of my car which I didn't realize until I sat in my kayak  Jackel, sorry about *your* camera; don't feel bad, I've drowned 2 cell phones already...

Anyway, it was a great outing, hope we can do it again. It was actually one of my better trips out fish-wise so maybe you guys are good luck :D
