going fishing with my 2 kids along the Ottawa river shoreline. Any suggestions as to where would be the best? Kids are 13 and 14 and have both caught smallies, now looking for the bigger fish. Don't have access to a boat.

Have access to a car and travelling up to an hour isn't a problem.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I would try fishing at the end of the slips at Port-of-Call Marina...good depth 15'+..Catfish, Walleye, Pike , Bass, Perch and Muskie...

From Kanata take March Rd and turn right on Dunrobin Rd. Drive approx 10km and turn right on Vances Side Rd...Drive to the end and you will be at the Marina....

Happy Fishing!!

Went to port of call this evening...caught some catfish, a few perch, some pumpkinseed and even a turtle...that's right a turtle. Luckily the turtle didn't swallow the lure and let go after a few seconds.
Saw a real big one jump on the other side of the slipway but I was too late with my cast.

Thanks for the info...any other good spots? A friend of mine told me about Mississippi Lake but I don't know where around the lake would be good for my kids to fish from.
