I have never fished there, but I do know that Center Island has some good carp fishing, and around Ontario Place I saw some good pike, and Bass around the docks there as well.

Hey Joco,
I was there in late August two years ago and fished the mouth of the Credit River for salmon. If I remember right I parked in a nearby park and fished from shore on the west(?) bank. It seemed that everyone was fishing with little cleos (including me) and a few fish were caught, but none by me. It was still nice to get out and watch the sunrise.

A few weeks ago, I was watching Fish N Canada on WFN. They were fishing for bass at the Toronto Islands.
Here's some info I found.

The guys on the site below will be able to help you.
They fish for just about everything and at many locations. Many fish the downtown area and the Islands.
I do know of locations for bass and pike but they are not close to Toronto.
At the present time my method of fishing is fly fishing for trout.
You can read OFN and get a lot of info. You can also do searches and get a lot of info.
Given the chance of fishing the Toronto Islands or the mouth of the Credit, I would choose the Islands. I would not not even consider the mouth of the Credit in August. But this is only my opinion.

Good luck.

Joco, I was raised on the Credit River and was one of the original founding members of CRAA. The river south of the QEW bridge is good to go after August 15th....if you can plop a yak in there and work that section to the mouth ...you may be surprised. The waterfront of the Credit has been going through a huge developemental phase over the last decade or so....Chinooks will show up at the mouth around the time you mentioned....rain, prior to your arrival will be key to hooking a Salmon on some hardware. Looking at some reports from the internet, the "Kings" are starting to turn colour.
This is a tell tale sign that the migration is about to begin.
I rarely get to visit the Mississauga area anymore so it would be nice to see some pic's from the area when you return. Good luck!!!
