4 days on the Great Lakes

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

4 days on the Great Lakes

Post by Birdee »

Just got back from 4 days on Lake Ontario and Erie. We had incredible weather and fantastic fishing!

My 2 guides working the rods. (Markus and RJ)

We did 3 days on Ontario chasing salmon and 1 day on Erie getting walleye for our freezer. The Erie day was crazy! Huge numbers of fish.

Double header of big bows! One actually jumped right over the other one on the way in.

Highlight of my weekend was gettin roped up with a big salmon. My new best by a long shot! No scale on board and no Sun Derby ticket so we didn't really want to know what it weighed!

Great report Birdee :D Congratulations on the personal best salmon. It is indeed a big fish.

The picture with Markus and yourself looks superb. It is to my understanding he is moving to Nova Scotia..Hope all works out.

Thanks for sharing 8)

Pretty decent fishing there.
I see your guides know where to find fish.
To bad you didn't have the Sun Ticket for the Lake Ontario Derby.
Could've been a winner.
See you back at SBP in September.
