Fun Long weekend Pictures

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Fun Long weekend Pictures

Post by The Lunker »

Well, I was able to sneak away Friday afternoon and get a head start on my cottage long weekend and good thing to. Didn't get on the water till around 3:00 but thought we would check out the lake as this was our first time fishing there. Timmy and I had tossed a variety of different bait against shore cover with slim results, a few small 2 lbsers. Then I tried to slowly run a crank bait over deeper weed and cover and was able to pull up a nice 4lbs11oz

Unfortunately, this would be the biggest of the weekend but certainly not the last. With a few of the boys fishing very little and catching the same we went out in the morning and hoped to hook up with a few. We hit the shores with rubbers and jigs with some small ones but they to were far between. We tried a few tosses in the 8ft range and had three fish in on a few casts. This trend went on most of the day with some slower times but all in all we were able to grab a good average per person with some catching up to 60 fish including some walleye and of course, the odd pike.

With some of the boys catching there most and in some cases the biggest I can say we all had a blast and I think we may have hooked in a few more anglers.

Cheers,[/img]
