Just got back from our 2nd annual fishing trip, 9hrs north of Ottawa. While the fishing wasn't as good as last year, we did manage to catch all three species of trout that we were hunting for in these remote lakes. The best thing about these lakes is that the trout are all natural producing. Non of these lakes are stocked. The weather was great with the exception of a couple of hot windless days. Here's some pics to share:
This was our camp for 9 days

This was the avearage size of Lake Trout

The ATV trips into these lakes were awesome. Rough terrain and a few rivers to cross

Pit stop with the boys on the way back to camp after a good day on the lake

One of the lads having fun with his new bike

The main lake where the camp was had these dark brown lakers with white meat. They tasted more like walleye then trout.

The speckies were hard to tie into this year but we did manage to catch a few footballs with the biggest weighing 4lbs. Real fatties!!

Early morning fog

My buddy with a couple of rainbows

The color of the meat on these rainbows were amazing and taste was even better!!

For the last day we decided to try and get into a lake that is a Fly-In only....my buddy who lives in the area knew how to get in by ATV. This was a 140km round trip by bike. It was truely amazing and the fish hit hard!! We managed to hook into 3 rainbows and 5 lakers within 3hrs between 2:00 and 5:00 in the afternoon.
My biggest rainbow of the week caught at this lake x

Another rainbow

A plane coming in to drop some guys off to fish..

Lake X

The last river to cross from Lake X....this was the end of our 9 day trip!!
