Drilling for oil on the Madawaska Head Pond

Noticed this afternoon there is a barge and drilling rig half way between the dam and the Boeing Boat launch. Anybody know what is going on, there has been work trailers parked on the west side of the dam for a while now.

Seen these things at Fitzroy. I think they are used by Ontario Hydro to drive moorings for the boom in front of the Dam.
