carp fishing

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Around here...pick a river and you'll find carp.

Ottawa, Rideau, Nation, St Lawrence all hold carp.
My pb came out of the Nation River in the Plantangenet (sp?) area a few years ago.

Not to hijack the thread, but if I want to catch carp , what bait should I use. Any advice for a newbie? It is probably too late to try for carp this year, but who knows.

:D Down my end the carp seem to keep biting as long as temps stay around 10c during the day. Cooler weather is coming ,but you never know till you wet a line.
