Punta Cana Bass fishing????

I will be in Punta Cana next Jan.2008
I was wondering if anyone has information about bass fishing down there?????

Yan, I don't believe there are any bass in the D.R.... plenty of saltwater fishing though.

There are a lot of shallows close to shore Yan that will offer you a chance at fishing Bonefish for sure. I didn't fish while I was there... too many funny drinks with the umbrellas and hottubs with bikini clad babes for me to think fishing. Ok so I went with the wife... still we were way too busy to be fishing.

I agree with seaweed.
I've been to punta cana 2 times now. Im not sure that you can find Bass down there? I know they offer many fishing package deals.
You must love Bass fishing to travel that far. Id be parking my but in the sand with a cold drink and watching the tide break the shore.

The woods down there are full of mosquitoes anyways. The beach in the day is to busy to fish, but if you get up early enough you can surf cast, or at night there are some lights on the beach that I saw guys tossing handlines out, you could try those areas. Good big sharp hooks.
