Quinte Report

We got down Friday and headed out for the batcave for a couple of hours until the rest of our crew arrived. Marked lots but had no takers, was just pouring out, good thing for the top.
Got back into Merlands, got our buddy's boat in the water, had a few pints, well actually quite a few, and called it a day. We don't do the drinking and driving thing although we noticed quite a few that did.

Headed out Sunday at dawn to the other side of the ferry, dropped the lines and went three for four in five hours. Smallest being 2lbs and two in the 6-1/2 lb range. Certainly not Badger's size but they will come.....

On our way back my buddy's boat was acting up and I ended up towing him from east of the ferry back to Merlands...1 hour , 7 mins, and 33 seconds to get back....... Those of you who were there know the winds that were blowing around on the bay around 1pm that day. That was a long trip....

All in all a great weekend was had with great company and a few fish thrown in to top it off.

I'll post some pics when I get them downloaded.

Heading down again this Friday for the weekend, will staying at Merland's.

Thanks for the post Bender - and glad to hear you picked-up three fish. I am planning on going back to BOQ Oct 31/Nov 1, so hopefully the big ones will be in by then. Sorry to hear about your friends boat trouble - towing in high winds/waves is no fun. Good luck on your next trip.

Thanks for the report. Looking to go down there in mid November for some of those big mamas coming in for the winter. Would love to land a double digit 'eye out of my kayak.

Cheers

Glad to hear you caught a few Bender. Four more days and our group will be heading to the B of Q also and we will also be staying at Merland's. Hopefully we can get together sometime over the weekend to shoot the breeze and share a few laughs. I just hope the wind holds off, it is never a whole lot of fun fighting 3 foot swells.

Hey Brian, I was happy to hear you caught some beauties! I know you have been busy this year and probably did not get out as much as you would have liked. I hope your friends boat is an easy fix.
I will miss going with you guys this weekend. I am sure my MOLSON stocks will go up anyway. lol

Good to see you guys got into some fish. Saturday was definitely fun with the winds at times guting over 70k with sustained over 50k. We did get two smaller fish in the 2 to 3 lb range but the others were between 7 and 9.6lbs. Sunday the two biggest were a nice one just over 11 and the big mama of the day 12.2lbs. The later was a big long fish and beautiful.

We will be back on Sunday. Hope you guys get the big girls this weekend.

Bender:
Congrats on the walleye. Fishing in that wind on Saturday was quite a challenge. I'm sure towing your friends boat back was quite a chore. Glad to hear you had a successful weekend. Good luck on upcoming weekend.

Hi Bender,

Must have been tough fishing, but still a good time with friends and a few fish tossed in. Sounds good to me!
