I need a bigger boat!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I'd rather use a rod and reel but whatever turns their cranks I guess. I've heard of folks eating gar but ya'd have to think that something that big would have a taste somewhere between boot leather and deep fryer sludge.

I hear ya there. I like rods a lot better and I've never really enjoyed watching a fish being gaffed. I did find these guys to be a bit out there.....in a canoe....really. The guy at the end almost went over when he pulled the fish in. Geez.

I have to admit, I didn't find that amusing either :!: :!: not sure if that's legal but i guess it all depends on where they are....almost promoting poaching and spearing

Bowfishing for Gar is completely legal. It is even legal in Ontario, but just for rough species, Gar and Carp. I just think those guys were nuts, looks like alligator type swamp to me.
