This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

If you take a look on the web, you will find several different ways to make quick strike rigs for ice fishing. You can make them out of steel wire.

I am sure if you check with the local tackle stores you will find all you need. There are a variety of leader materials out there. I use the black nylon coated multi strand 27 lb with A3 crimping sleeves (a crimping tool is all you need).

Beauty with this rigs is you chose your hooks and don't have to settle for a lot of the stuff pretied.

This site is full of info http://www.tackleunderground.com/index.php for making you on stuff.

Have fun

Depends on your setup but you can use anything from braid to solid strand steel, multi strand, even 80lb fluoro could stand up to an average pike so long as he's not deep hooked.

I dont get it, u say that 80lb could stand up to an average pike when people say that they use 65-80lb for musky without any probleme.

just want to clarify.
