Rideau Muskies?

Other than the really, really, really nice one just posted by Mr. Twister, has anybody else had much luck on the Rideau this fall? I have been out a bunch of times, and to me, everything seems really late this fall. We have had a few follows near the island, but no major activity yet. The bridges have been ghost-towns so far for us. It is mid-November, and I just have not seen them turn on yet in our go-to spots.
We were out yesterday, and talked to four boats that were all skunked. What is up? Is it just that the temp. is behind this year, or is there something else going on? How is the Ottawa River doing this year? Anybody have some opinions on this?
Cheers
Peter

It's been extremely slow here on the Ottawa as well....mind you, it's my first fall season for Muskie so I'm still in the learning stage....
Me and Monster Release went out for a few hrs yesterday and only got 1 hit...we marked a few good arches on the sonar but all in all it's been slow for sure!!!

Water temps are behind a little this year, which means alot of fish have not yet made their way to the fall/winter haunts. Was out on Sunday and faster trolling speeds were the ticket. Fish seemed to be hanging around the 10 -15 foot depths. This is on the Ottawa

Buddy caught a 26lb muskie on the Ottawa, yesterday afternoon. The only fish they had in 3 days.

I caught a 45" musky Nov 1st at one of the aforementioned Rideau hotspots. It was very aggressive, I missed it twice and hooked up properly on the 3rd attempt. I was using live bait, and didn't want to gut hook it. The first 2 times we played tug of war with the minnow, and the musky got up boatside and just let go as the hook wasn't in its mouth. I left it a little longer the 3rd time and got her in the boat. 3 battles in 20 minutes, the adrenalin was really pumping. I suspect it was the same fish all 3 times but can't be positive. My biggest musky yet. I was pretty excited about it. My internet service is not as fast as it used to be. I tried to upload the photo to the gallery a couple of times but it didn't work. Not sure if it is my system or the site at the time. I'll try again later this week. That was my only trip out this fall, hoping to get out again this weekend.
