Crappie Bay Today

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Crappie Bay Today

Post by Jackel »

Ok, who was fishing Crappie Bay today??? :? Iceman and I went to check out the ice and even before we started to chip away, we noticed someone had walk out pulling a sleigh and set up in the usual hole but had left before we got there.

So we started chipping and found about 3 inches of layered ice. Not very good!

So, who ever was out there in my eyes sure was brave, because it would not have been me. BE CAREFUL!!! It's not 3 inches of black ice and with the snow storm coming I think I'm just going to wait a bit more.

BE SAFE!!!

ok somebody did it....30 off nov or 1 dec..

3 inch could be ok.if it would be black ice(good ice but white ice is not that good....plus those not meen its 3 inch all over and i am sher its not.

wit that snow storm coming and the weight off all that snow on ice over there will mabe bring some water on by the sides.that extra weight will mabe brake that thin ice.

be very very carefull.

we dont want any bad news.

i would not recomend to go there...just my 2 cents.

I'm not gonna argue with you guys or take any of your motherly abuse. I've been around long enough to know what safe ice is.

You're right about the Sens. :x

If it was around 3:30-4:00 then yes it was. We also met up with Penn5 while we were there.
