This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

24/7.....

I will show you exactly where and how.....brings me to this other monster pike story at the same spot in Feb of that same year...

One mid morningI was fishing with 4 Tip Up and I was using one jigging road for perch. The pike action that day was slow. Around 12:pm got a hit on one Tip up and manage a 3 pound pike as I recall. So I decided that i would take my Jigging rod and put I live minnow on a hook instead of the little perch lure I was using at that time.

So, I started jigging and I didn't take long(maybe less than 5 mins) for something to hit hard on my jigging rod. Now wathever was on that minnow was freaking strong. It took me 10 mins to see down the hole what was on....  It had a huge head my friend so I knew it was big. Now i had A little problem the ice was about 24 inches thick and I was in less than 10 feet of water....I just could't turn that monster pike vertical in my 8 inch hole. At one point I said this is a do or die thing!
So I pulled on the mono (8 pound test at the time) and snaped everything!! it ended up being a......die thing for me that day

There is some large Pike in Mc LAurin and the best time of the year to get them is early ice and late ice(last week of MArch)

In will take you in Bro.
Just make sure you are ready for ''IT" because there is Pike in the range of 40-44 inches in there waiting to test you!!!!!!!mouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
