I have the M68c which is just like the X67c but it has GPS as well. Excellent unit. I would recommend it any time. Never had a problem. The lowrance website has the downloadable manual and a simulator as well. I can easly see a 1.5" jig in 40' of water. I havn't tried anything smaller or deeper but I'm sure it will work just fine. The m68c has some maps on it but its primarly US maps. GPS work well, I can mark my spots.

The brand of your ice machine is reliable, well that is just according to what I have heard from friends. But anyway, it all depends on who ever is using it and his preference some may not like it while some are contented with. Have a happy fishing and I hope your ice make can help you produce enough ice to preserve your catch.
