Now as we all know to get big fat LMB we often need to get deep sometime real deep in the weed patches. But to get there and to move inside of it can be a hell of a problem. Padling a huge bass boat out of the weeds can be a difficult task!!!
I was wondering if there is a way or something we can do about it. Can we fit something on the shaft neer the prop to keep the weeds away??
How do you deal with the situation????

My previous trolling motor had a metal tab welded to the side of the prop head which covered the small gap between the prop and the prop head. It didn't really make a whole lot of difference in the real heavy stuff. To get out of the heavy stuff, I usually just pull up on the rope so the prop is half in-half out and crank up the juice. You'll probably need to spend a few minutes getting rid of the salad bar on the deck.....

Now on a serious note................
Usually if i'm out for bass , 24/7 is with me and part of his job is whenever
i bark at him he is to lift the trolling motor and removed the weeds

...Ihave check it out open at 9am...
But instead of blasting a big engine to move inside the weed bed would it be a good thing to place a second electric motor in the back of the boat ...the back of the boat would be some sort of a shield.

You might want to try Ed @Paddle tails, I was going to get one through him but ended up selling the boat.

I myself prefer to use a 19 yr old blonde model in a bikini to push the boat around in the weeds. That away I can concentrate on catchin them bass.

I went to the Technique Chasse Peche store in Gatineau today and I have mentioned the product to Luc (manager)...he will look into it and maybe get some at his store. I will call him back in the next few days to see if he will place the order....I will let you all know about it.
