Nice Laker Today...

Well, usually I am not very happy with one fish over a full day of jigging. However, I'd take today anytime as I got a hell of a fight from an 8 pound laker. So much fun!!
Not a great pic, but still a beauty!

Hey almonte, you're right, I was excited, haha! I knew when it hit, it was a nice one. It took a couple good runs on me as I had my drag a bit lighter than usual, lots of fun.
Hey tip-up, we were on the south side fishing right at the edge of the shelf, good spot! Got em on an airplane jig.

Only managed 1 fish today... it's a nice one though. Two others broke my line... oh well. It was a nice day. Don't know what it weighed, but it measured 28.5". It'll taste good tonight.

fishnsledder I was fishing at the same time just behind you in your pic.
you got my 4wheeler in your photo. I didn't catch anything, but my buddy caught a nice 8lb.

Hey Splake thats a nice fish. I see Sydenham Rd in the back ground.
I hear they were biting great on the weekend out there. Lots of vehicles on
the ice over the weekend to.
