Tim a drift sock is the way to go it,s cheaper and can also be used for jigging in windy conditions see ya tonight Georges

I'm with Georges on this one. He said it all.

Last year depending on the type of fishing i was doing i either used one drift sock straight out the back of the boat or two off to the sides while salmon fishing. The both work really well, this year however I am looking into getting a kicker installed...
Both are good options just depends on your budget!
