sheer pin
The sheer pin is there, but the metal spindle that sits inside the prop and goes through it comes right out and the rubber that sits between the prop and the spindle is all rotten and falling off.

Re: expensive
I doubt that you could fix it by yourself. The rubber and/or plastic bits in there are probably pressed in place with a lot of pressure. I had a 9.9 prop re-hubbed at G&G Lalonde (now Orleans Boat World and Sports) a couple of years ago. I think it was around $40. I believe they send their prop repair work out somewhere else, so it will take a few days to get the work done.something_fishy wrote:Does it cost much to do??
