What's the reasoning that members can't post or reply in these forums?

I've wondered the same my self.

Actually had to search the user data base to ask ed a product question. a post would have been convient.

I believe it is set up that way so that Crystal and I have control over our respective areas. If you have a question for either of us, just address it to Toobinator or Baitcaster and we will get it.

I think these were set up as a way for Ed and I to share information and keep everyone informed on what's going on at our respective stores. Just email me or send a private message with any questions you may have about what's posted there and I will get back to you ASAP. Or, if you have comments you may want to start a thread in the Fishing Talk section.
Maybe Fish-Hawk or Bobber could comment further.

Why not make their Forums open? I recommended that they don't.

Anything that is fishing related they are welcome to post in the other Forums. Messages about their stores and products they are welcome to post in their own Forums.

What else is there that would be worth running the risk that someone goes into your Forum and doesn't behave themselves. To be honest, I think it would be more trouble than it is worth if I were Ed or Crystal, and possibly damaging in ways that neither deserves.

No it is a real good question and it deserved an answer. I'm sorry if I sounded terse in my response (I must check that in dictionary) another word I can think of would be curt? Cmon Dana, help me with the word? I just try to bang out as many messages as I can and lately I haven't been using emoticons much - thats not good for someone who says a lot of stuff that makes people think "Huh?"

Them little smiles are at least a hint.
