Kids Panfish Tournament

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Kids Panfish Tournament

Post by hawgwild »

Hey Folks,

Our second annual Kids Charity Tournament will be held on Saturday May 3, 2008 between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. This year the event will be held out of
Rideau Harbour Marina AKA Safari Marina. Thanks to John McLaughlin for allowing us the use of his facility.

If you will be attending the event, please let me know so that we can make sure that we have enough prizes for all of the kids.

Cost is $10 per child. All proceeds will go to CHEO

Looking forward to seeing a lot of kids out for this event.

Pete

That's Fantastic Big Jim. I know that kids will like that.

Now if we can just get some more kids signed up. I'm sure that there are some young anglers here that would love to catch some pan fish.
There is no need for a boat, we will be able to fish right from the docks.

Please e-mail me at plarmand@peterlarmand.com if you will be attending. It's for a great cause and it's for the kids.

Thanks again, Big Jim, Shimano and Canadian National Sportsman Shows.

Hopefully, you both can make it. I know that the kids that were there last year really enjoyed themselves.

Looking forward to it.

Pete,

I would love to make it out but I am pre-fishing for a tournament out of town. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help out with donating some prizes etc.

Take a kid fishing today.

It looks like the weather is going to be great this weekend for the kids event out of Rideau Ferry.

Thanks to Big Jim, Shimano, The Canadian Sportsment Shows, Wave Worms, Vertical Lures, George's Marine and Sports, Sheldon Hatch from Ezelo and PL Outdoors for donating prizes for the kids. Every kid attending will receive a tackle pack. There will be prizes for all the kids as well.

$10 entry fee per child, all proceeds goes to charity. Event runs from 10 - 2:00 with a free BBQ during the event.

It's a great opportunity to take a child fishing and it's for a good cause.

See you on Saturday.

A Great Day

Post by hawgwild »

Hey Folks,

Well what a great day we had. We had a good turn out considering the weather didn't look like it was going to hold off but it sure did. The sun came out for most of the day. I will have some pictures to post shortly.

I want to thank John McLaughlin from Rideau Ferry Harbour Marina for letting us use his facility.

To everyone that donated prizes: Big Jim, Canadian Sportsmen shows, Sheldon Hatch from Ezelo, George's Marine and Sports, Wave Worms, The Cox family, the Jamieson family and Darrell Medaglia.

All of the kids caught at least 1 fish but the young angler with the most was Karlan with 13 panfish.

Congratulations to all of the kids. $343 was raised for CHEO. Thank you to everyone that made today possible.

Pete

It's always nice to see kids fishing, but especially for a cause.

Congratulations to young Karlan! Well done!

I look forward to the pictures, Hawgwild. :D
