What do you fellas think? Will the fish be active this weekend with rainy cool weather coming in.
My suspicion is no...if it was summer then kapow! The bite would be on but early and the water is still in the low to mid 50s I'm thinking the fish will be even more lethargic.

Anybody have a counter argument? I could use some confidence building before the big trip on Sunday.

Just want to talk fishing...

Theres only two good times to fish, when its raining and when its not!

To be honest im expecting the bite to be slow however I have been fooled before....2 days of walleye fishing followed by some carp fishing...somethings gotta bite!

Too bad your not going Saturday.... there calling for cloudy periods with chance of rain in the afternoon

Perfect for walleys and thats what I'm going to do.

The bite may be slow but I have caught some of my largest fish right before a storm starts....It's the wind I don't like

Brookies, pike and walleye this weekend for me. If not active will have to mix things up a bit to get them to bite, that's all.

I'm headin up North for 5 days in 1hr to hunt down some Lakers and Eyes....catchin' fish would be great but just the fact of gettin' out with the boyzzzzz after a long winter is what it's all about!!

P.S........at least we won't have to worry about the beer gettin' too warm this weekend

I'm going by this theory: runoff is warmed by the earth, so the water is warmer where streams feed the lake.

Depends, warm rain will likely turn the fish on, as this can raise surface temps considerably.

Raining or not the fish will eat, just gotta figure out what to feed em

I've had some great days for early season lakers in the rain & wind. Did not like the conditions...but did like the success.
Monday for walleye @ Cardinal.
