Muskie and Walleye Lakes

I will be staying with friends the first week of September near Elgin / Jones Falls, Ontario. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction to have a chance of catching some walleye or muskies. I'm willing to travel and have an 18' bass boat. I've fished some of the lakes in this area and it seems that largemouth and some smaller pike is what we caught the most of. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...Jesse

Well for muskie in the area you are talking about.... well forget it... you will have to drive to either the St. Lawrence or the Rideau River near Kemptville.

Walleye should be in many of the lakes near where you are... just work bottom bouncers and spinner rigs with worms off the bottom and you should find some fish.

Thanks Seawed...I fished several lakes in the area including; Dog, Lower & upper Beverly, Sand, and Loughenborough (sp?). LMB and small pike was mainly what we caught. I knew I had to travel west or north to get into some decent muskie lakes. But with gas prices being as steep as they are i was hoping someone could steer me in the right direction. Any reccomendations on how to fish the above mentioned lakes for small mouth or large pike would also be great. Or info. about lakes containing muskie or walleye within a few hours would be highly appreciated. Could even give some quality info. on PA spring turkey hunting, coon hunting with hounds, or take you along on a hunt. Thanks again.

Hi Amos Pike, Black and Mississippi lakes are close and have not bad walleye but for serious walleye you should go to Hay Bay or Bay of Quinte. Some musky down there too
