Hey all, The wife and I are planing a trip at the end of August, we are in search of some big pike! or whatever, We like near Brockville, and yes the pike r big here I know, its the thought of getting away...Any thoughts on some lakes that r no more than 6 hours away?
Oh, I got to post up some more pics in my fish thread, we got 35 larggies opening day, I'd say 1/2 of them were 4+ lbs, we weighed 2 monsters, one @ 5.6 and one @ 5.3, be nice to upload from computer...so much easier lol, anyways...any help on the locations would be great peeps!

just go up north as most u can.
I heard the temagami area is good for pike and is beautiful place, u should look into that.

Temagami does have some bigguns. Good luck finding them though.
Go as north as you can. Trout Lake has some bigger fish too, but the fishing there for them is best in the spring I believe.
Georgian Bay would be a good area too.
If you wanna be 6 hours from Ottawa I suggest you set cruise control at about 160km/hr. That way you could be somewhere's north of Cochrane on a backroad camping out and fishing where the pike live.
