Wacky rig with an o-ring..

I've been using the wacky rig for bass so successfully with the o-ring that I made a video for those who may be interested.

Great job on the video. I knew how it worked but getting the O ring on is a bit of a pain. The pen trick is excellent.

Do you use a worm hook or weedless?
I read where you should use weedless but have been missing on the hookup.

Thanks Mike for sharing the pen trick. I fish a lot of wacky, but always find it painful to get the rings onto the senkos, I guess no more.

I'use a wide gap circle hook, non-weedless has been good for me so far

It's nice to give back a little something to the community here at Fish-Hawk, I've taken much from reading the posts over the years.
I've seen the Senko Tool sold at some locations, but nothing here in Kingston. I suppose I could thread a small bolt onto the end as a "home-remedy" to keep a small supply of o-rings readily available.
I now use this rig almost exclusively for bass...about 98% of the time, and have yet to get skunked....

Umm... where does one get o-rings?
Try industrial supply stores or plumbing wholesalers. Stores like Home Depot, Rona and Canadian Tire don't carry the ones you want.

What sizes are good for the 5" regular stickbaits, and for the 5" "Dingers" (thicker than average)?

Here in Kingston I got my from Rona.
I found that 3/16" (inside diameter) worked better than 1/4", the 1/4" allows for the worm to be pulled off too easily by sunfish, perch & crappie.
I get a package of senko's and prep them in advance...

To add a bit more to that thread, o-ring sizes are as follows,
009 = 7/32 ID
010 = 1/4 ID
011 = 5/16 ID
