Senko Tip

If you find that when your fishing with a senko and it's not really bitting, here's a tip you can do to improve it. It's basically adding it a tail, well 4 tails... I have not tried it yet, but you got nothing to lose. Make sure to use smaller scissors, i used big ones, and it does a bad job.
Heres a video to show you how to do it:

Enjoy, Rico
If anyone tries it, could you tell me if it actually works better?
Thanks!

Thanks Rico!
I never though of this.....although I have cut senkos in half, 1/4, and split them down the middle........
But this looks very interesting, even if you can make 6-8 tails on it..or on either side.....u need very small sharp scissors i guess.
I will try this the next time i'm out!
Thanks man!
Very nice.....
Take care Rico! And hope you catch big ones! haha

In half?

Care to explain?

You could prob make 8 tails with those bigger senkos, i use 4" senkos i think, or 5", not sure, can only make 4 tails at the max, and it is a little hard. And yes, sharp scissors is the key, i have small scissors, but not sharp at all, and i have big sharp ones, but too big, the ones they guy has in the video would be perfect!
Hope i catch big ones too!

Good luck to you too
Rico

I just mean I would cut the worm in half.......like vertically......
so it's 2 pieces.....smaller pieces......so fish arent' as intimidated by it.....
i haven't had much luck with Senkos, i need to try that trick out.....
I find the only fish that can and will eat them are huge fish.......which is nice but sometimes there are only smaller fish around...
anywho, I need to keep trying with the Senkos, because everyone else seems to realy like them.

These are the only 2 colors i have for now, they are expensive i find, 5$ per pack, i got enough with just 2 packs
But like i said, the one on top, the best for me, i guess fish see the flashy green and they like it?

Interesting!!!!
Next time they're not biting, I'll give that a try.
Wacky rigged, and cut both ends, sort of like a "spider-dog".
Almost turn the senko into a jig, but with thick trailers.
I'll let you know if it works out.

Great video! I think you have solved my problem of how to find replacement skirts for my Hulla Poppers! Just cut the skirts from a senko and tie them on with my fly tying kit

hey terry, that sounds like a good idea, im gonna have to try that with a wacky rig, cut both ends, never thought of that!
