Morning,

Just a heads up that there have been a number of stolen boats/kayaks/generators, etc from Allumette Island in the last week or so. We had our alluminum taken and our neighbour had other various items taken.

Lock up all valuables.

Good fishing!

You're right about the robberies on the Island. I have a cottage near the head of the Island and one on my friend near Leblanc Island had all his tools, Kayak, canoe, chain saw and other items stolen last Thursday.

It would be wise to lock up everything and have your neighbours be on the lookout while you are away and vice versa.

Friggin dirtbags.........so many people (scum) break into cottages....

When I go trout fishing to certain areas, we notice big gates everywhere blocking our access to the lakes even though they have public boat launches.

It's sad these thieves make it necessary for cottagers to lock up the main roads into these lakes, so people like me can't fish there.

My fathers farm was robbed a couple years ago, over 5000$ worth of things taken.

They are just lucky he wasn't there. Very lucky...Because there is a huge dog there....and it would have chased them down for sure if it ahad been let out. Really hope they dont' come back or they are gonna get arrested this time.

It's pretty pathetic really, my grandmother lives there and she suffers from Alzheimers and the thieves knew that, and she waved goodbye to them as they stole all the goods.....She didn't know any better or to phone the police....

To specifically target a house because u know most of the time a woman with alzheimers is there is disgusting, and so wrong.....The people who did it worked on the farm next door, he would come over and snoop on our property, and one day when my dad was gone, he came up with all his thieving friends and loaded everything into trucks and left.

I suggest all cottagers and farm owners buy cameras. Put one up high on a big pole, telephone pole type thing....and have one at the entrance to the property..

A game camera, u know the type that are activated by motion. So everytime a car comes into your driveway, it iwll be photographed, and licence taken. Then have a camera closer to your home on a high pole which is not obvious, or on the house somewhere, to take more pictures of them.

Take Care,
