Funny you mention the shallow water thing....yesterday in a local tournament here the big fish of the day came off a spinnerbait in very shallow water...

Oh no....they as far as I heard had moved into to chase pike...and lucked into the big eye...4.98 lbs...

I read your article. I agree about the depth thing (except for today's action they were deep). I've caught 90% of my walleye in less than 10ft. I don't dispute the effect that sunlight has on their sensitive eyes, but I really do think it's over-rated. They will go deep, but not as fast (or as deep) as the barrage of walleye magazine articles has led us to believe.

Those sure are some big walleye. Welcome Rodger any information for some one like you is greatly appreciated, how can we possibly argue with those pics.
