LF looking for BF to share quality time together

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

LF looking for BF to share quality time together

Post by cheg »

Ha! Got your attention! Sorry, but LF stood for Lonely Fisherman looking for Master Bassfisher...

Here's my story. I love fishing. I especially like bass fishing because of the action. I have a 14 footer aluminum boat with a 15hp and an electric and it's parked on Lac Gauvreau near Lac Philippe. It ain't a pretty set-up but it gets me around. I have a whack of friends but unfortunately nobody likes fishing! I would just like to meet some people that go out from time to time, know their stuff and could show me a trick or two. I've been fishing since I was 10 or so and I'm now 42 but it's always been a case of occasional fishing with standard lures.

I'm from Ottawa but I only fish Quebec lakes because I don't know anyone who fishes in Ontario. So I'm stuck every year paying the rediculously priced non-resident fee for a license. My mom lives on MacGregor lake, but again, I don't know anyone out there so I've waisted a lot of time going around that huge lake to try to find 'the spots'.

I've got some decent equipment, and I'd like to learn more about baitcasters which seems to be the choice for bass. I have yet to buy a combo.

Anyway, let me know if I can tag along or if you want to try Gauvreau lake out. I've pulled some decent 2-3lb LMs out of there and I know there's a heck of a lot more under those weeds. I just got myself the Black Mamba fishing system so I'm anxious to try it out!

Cheers and thanks for taking the time to read my long-winded tale of sorrow...

Hey Cheg,

Well you've come to the right spot to get to know some Ontario fishermen. There's lots of events and outings happening and many people looking for people to fish with.

Check out this forum and I'm sure you can hook up with some of these guys.

Hey Cheg,

I don't have much to offer in terms of advanced tips/techniques but I love to fish. I've spent the $50+ on a Qc licence this year and have yet to get my money's worth. If you're just looking to get out some time and fish, let me know!

Oh, and once you get the hang of the baitcaster, you won't want to put it down!

Cheers,

Cheg,

I'm always open to taking folks out fishing as I usually fish alone.
I'm no pro, just a weekend warrior like most of us here, so don't expect much. I have fully rigged boat to explore with.
Send me a PM and we'll set up a mutually convienient date/time.

cheers,
