Springing into Summer '08

I realize it's a little late, seeing as though Fall is marked on the calender in less than a week away. I'm really looking forward to a great autumn season before we get to play on the hard stuff. One can only wish that ice will be on time and cabin fever does'nt set in....for long.

Anyways, spring was in the air and our SENS were in the post season. RJ & Birdee managed to subdue me for a ten minute major and a game misconduct while having a good time....

Image

My Habs would be victorious that night though
Image

As the hardwater playing field succumbed to warm Spring sun, it made for some interesting times getting on and off the lake.
Image

It's official:
Image

I would lose my camera over the side of the boat while passing it to Huddy for another shot of all the Walleye I was slaying.....not good!!

Bradford from this board would take me out for a laker fish....Top notch guy and really focused on getting me onto fish that day. I'll not forget that day anytime soon!
Image

Image

Spring would fashion us with lotsa Walleye and some most memorable days for numbers to boot. Ratsotail, made the best of his last days in the province with me in the search and destroy missions

Image

End of June would take me on an epic Journey North with Bunk and friends. I would celebrate Canada day in the middle of nowhere and a few beers    What an experience!!! something I'll remember forever.

Image

Sure Bunk caught all the bigguns' but I had some great fish too!

Image

Fished for the first time in Northern Quebec, Rapide Sept, Descelles Reservoir. That was a tough go for my girl Audrey and I. We searched for big Pike on that body of water for almost four days and not even putting a scratch on her. This place is'nt that boater friendly and demands alot of respect. We were treated like royalty there....it's a family thing eh!

Image

Image

Back at home again, I actually caught a Bass
Image

Crappie fishin' had it's moments here and there too. Huddy had the hot hand one day.
Image

Caught a few smallies as well....on one lure...beat that record twice in less than an hour.... been there done that!
Image

Lakers have been my target going into fall. I had great times slaying them once again.
Image

Fall is my most favorite time to be out on the water.

Second to winter

Who doesnt love a Slop report ? Remember this classic :

'caught on a rancid, half eaten Wendy's new 'Baconator'....pitched into the slop'

Too funny.

Anyways - nice pictures and great fishing. Especially that monster northern with Bunk.

Well Ted, I felt a sense of artsy fartsyness come over me that morning

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume that because you are a good ole east coaster, you may not be aware that the flower is a Trllium, Ontario's officical flower...eh

Nice Report!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of beautiful fish!!!

I like the picture of the spillover of the Dam, they have a whole bunch of those Dams in the James Bay/Northern Ontario area. I think they are all named Rapides (1)(2)(3)(4)(5) and so on......but i could be wrong.......

So much of the Water up north in Quebec is dammed for hydro-electricity.....dams are pretty cool.....

GREAT PICS!!!
