Lurkers
Lurkers
I am fairly new to the site and I see sometimes comments about lurkers. Im not sure exactly what a lurker is but get the impression it might be a fellow fisherman seeking tips or information. But cant help but think that some people here think that is a bad thing and information shouldnt be shared.
"Lurkers" are people who take the information freely offered here but don't bother to contribute anything in return...like a report on how things went or any advice that they may have...or just plain participate in general.
No problem with asking for advice or tips. I know most folks here are like me...really good at giving advice. No garuntees about the quality of the advice though...I'm just good at giving it.

Most lurkers aren't even members, they just absorb all the info and hints and spots given but never return the favor.

WOW.....Is this an open forum or a witch hunt? I thought that's what forums are for; the sharing of information regardless if it is one-way or two-way. Now, we've got a name for people that take information but choose not to reciprocate? I know another name for them: researchers.
What do you call people who go and bag a mess of big fish, brag about it on the fish-talk forum and lack the minerals to reveal the location (remote or otherwise) to keep people out of "their" spot? I call them greedy and selfish.
I think any and all or welcome as long as one is not offensive or doing anything illegal, such as slandering the one they call "Carrot Top"
