Constance Lake Sunday

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Constance Lake Sunday

Post by Jasonb »

well Banannie and I are headed out to Constance Lake sunday for a bit of pike/perch action... we'll be having breakfast at the resturant at about 8 or so, if you see us feel free to come say hello, introduce yourself etc... look for the 98 caravan(green) w/ 417 Suzuki plate holders... i don't think it'll make it out on the ice without getting stuck as i hear the plowed area isn't too nicely kept, but we'll park on shore and walk... we've got the portable hut, but probably wont be in it... too busy catching fish... lol.... good luck to all and may the fish gods bring us all a great catch!!!

Good luck Jay, you already know what I think of Constance

Will nail a few on Clayton Monday  If I don't make it out with you and Annie I will do my best to swing by and drop off my heater for ya's, or you can stop by my place

Again, good luck!

Chuck did a great job plowing the ramp down to the lake on Thursday. We drove right accross to the silver shack and then walked around from there. With the winds and snow drifts this morning and today I would probably not drive out without a four wheel drive. There is about 6-8" of old snow with a crust on it and then about 6 -8" of soft fluffy stuff. Beneath it all there is a solid 2+ ft of good black ice. We managed about 100 tiny perch and pumpkin seeds and two small 2lb pike.

Today was much better did Shirleys in the AM and got four perch and an eye and tonight we hit a walleye lake and scored 2 - 3lb eyes.

The weather tomorrow will be awesome, so not fishing I'll be at the tobaggan hill with the kids most of the afternoon :D

Cheers,
Prairieboy

I went out for an hour and a half. Tried my aqua vu for the first time ever. Didn't see a fish or get a bite. Went to Long Island locks after that and saw a pile of Perch (catching them was easy).

Anyone else fair better than I did at Constance?

So I guess I picked the right weekend to be too sore to go ice fishing.
When hell freezes over, I'll be there icefishing!!!
