Ice Fishing with Kids

Are there any stocked ponds/fish farms that offer ice fishing near Ottawa? Looking to bring some kids out.

i'm organizing a fishing derby for adults and kids in Wendover on February 21st. You should bring the family. Every child will get a prize and it's free for them...

Hey, I was in the arnprior derby on Saturday. Lots of fun. I'm planning on going into the Wendover derby but can't find any information on it. Any help?

any suggestion for a decent spot to take young kids to do a little ice fishing, camp fire, enjoy the day...
Mississipps lake, Ottawa river (Shirley's bay), Constance Lake, Rideau (Kars/Kemptville area) etc

Hey Orziles offers ice hutt rentals around Petrie Island and I imagine that these hutts are placed over good fishing locations. I would imagine most come with wood stoves all you need is a frying pan for hotdogs. If your kids are young a hutt is worth its weight in gold!

Yes Oziles has a selection of 4 shacks and all of them come with wood stoce and benches. If you wish for a couple more bucks you can have the full package ( minnows, wood, tipups ect...) and yes they are located in some what good fishing area !
