Lake George

Hey everyone,
I have a chance to go fish lake george near plantagenet this comming summer, but i have no idea what is in the lake or anything, and all I can find on the net is about some realestate company near there or lake george in New York state. If anyone has any info would greatly be appreciated.

Yes there is a small lake called Lake George between Plantagenet and Treadwell. If you type Lake George Road, Plantagenet Ontario on Google map, you see it.

I am mostly wondering what type of fish are in this lake

I know it's a dark brown lake, clay stained, much like the South Nation River. It is also attached to the Ottawa River, so I would imagine what's in there is also in Lac George, perhaps minus sauger. Lots of camps on that lake, and houses but have never heard of anyone fishing it.

well with no reports of ppl fishing it this could either be a swing and a miss outting or could end up being your honey hole for years to come... just remember to let me know... lol... good luck dude sorry i've got helpful information

I have fished there once through the ice. There were a few walleye caught by ourselves and some other anglers who were also out.

you'll find the basics walleye. perch and bass
this lake is heavily fished,( loads of cottages)
nice lake, is attached to the river but in a minor way
(would not attempted it with my boat)
have fun,
better to be on a lake then workin any day

Walleye, Pike, Bass and pannies... slow fishing from what the locals told me. Ice fished it a couple years ago and only caught tiny perch... lots of cottages and homes for such a small lake. The east end is supposed to have some great cover for largies.
